Major Projects

 

·         Launched 118 Nortel 3G carriers for Verizon Wireless, Atlanta. Database load, turn up and tested.

·         ATT Carrier Adds North Florida. 4G LTE and 3G. Installation of Ericsson 3206 cabinet, grounds, power , jumpers, duplexors and Low loss combiners when needed. T-1’s extended and tested.

·         GE Corporate Network, Ft. Meyers, FL 2001.  Installation and turn-up of Cisco 8850 ATM Network.  This was the first sprint ION project in SW Florida.

·         Delta Airlines Reservation Network, Ft Lauderdale, FL 2000.  Completed 18GHz DS-3 microwave shot from airport to downtown Lauderdale MCI World Com. I was able to accomplish this project with No Method of Procedures available.  This was a DMC Digital Microwave Corporation radio with redundancy.

·         Tested video flow in new markets and expansion markets, test equipment used is QXDM

·         Driving routes with looking of RSSI and packet errors.

·         Tested new sites for basic coverage then additional sites will be added.

·         Changing timing on additional sites when adding to provide a smooth handover to the next site.

·         Testing of expansion sites with a spectrum analyzer.

·         The new site to transmit a tone and basic routes are driven for coverage.

·         After performing this test the site will be turned on with full MediaFLO and timing will be set after examining data. Numerous driving till 0 packet errors can be achieved.

·         Was rapidly placed on doing indoor test at hotels, Verizon stores, malls and airport project as well.  Were a lot of walking with two phones and writing down RSSI levels was involved.

·         Checking channel flow is also tested at the same time, and then placed results in excel spreadsheet that was then put in a PowerPoint presentation for the customer.

·         Entering charts and graphs of coverage.

·         Photos of all airport areas included. Photos were used to show why RSSI levels were bad. Most bad coverage was due to steel structures or just center of building.

·         Advanced to ATP-2 testing.

·         Doing EVDO testing for Verizon along with Qualcomm test set and a Verizon Samsung test set. This requires monitoring two laptops of information and driving the routes.

CW Testing

·         Set up a transmitter on a rooftop or utilizing a crane.

·         Transmitter is a Gator Brand, making sure the signal is correct using a Byrd wattmeter.

·         Drive a grid of the area until the signal fell below the threshold. Receiving equipment was Grayson

·         TEM Investigation for test equipment.

·         Test with two voice phones and one EDGE data phone.

·         Helped Sprint upgrade from Rev.0 to Rev.A.

·         Test a site for throughput levels on uploads on downloads; any issues would need to call the switch to have the site cleared.          

·         Handled customer trouble tickets.

·         Met with customers with test equipment in for a comparison test.

·         Resolved each and every ticket.

·         EVDO and CDMA testing for Sprint in Irvine, CA.

·         Sprint was upgrading from Rev. 0 to Rev. A.

·         Test a site for throughput levels on uploads on downloads.

·         Responsible of selection of the cluster drives.

·         Andrews 3G was the equipment used.
